Sunday 6-Pack: 2017 Divisional Weekend Recap

Welcome to the Sunday 6-Pack where we crack open six of the tastiest stories in the NFL. And we’re ready for the best weekend in all of sports. It’s Divisional Playoff Weekend. We’re down to the best eight teams in the NFL, but only the top four are moving on. We got Saturday’s action going in the NFC. Nick Foles and the 13-3 NFC East Champion Philadelphia Eagles were hosting Matt Ryan and the 11-6 Atlanta Falcons. It’s rare that the #1 Seed in the NFC is an underdog at home, but that was the case on Saturday. The Eagles used that disrespect to their advantage and shook up the world with the 15-10 upset victory. The Eagles are now one game away from the Super Bowl, and that one game will be in Philly next Sunday. Then it was Tom Brady and the 13-3 AFC East Champion New England Patriots hosting Marcus Mariota and the 10-7 Tennessee Titans. Last week the Titans had all the answers, but as most visitors to The Razor find out, there are plenty of new questions. And when all was said and done, the answers as always was the Patriots as they rolled to the AFC Championship with the 35-14 victory. Sunday’s action took us to Pittsburgh where Big Ben Roethlisberger and the 13-3 AFC North Champion Pittsburgh Steelers were hosting Blake Bortles and the 11-6 AFC South Champion Jacksonville Jaguars. Shockingly the Jags jumped out to a quick 21-0 lead. The Steelers got close but were unable to close the gap, and it’s the Jags moving on to the AFC Championship with the 45-42 win. We wrapped up the madness with another NFC battle. It was Case Keenum and the 13-3 NFC North Champion Minnesota Vikings hosting Drew Brees and the 12-5 NFC South Champion New Orleans Saints. The Vikings jumped out to a 17-0 first half lead only to see the Saints storm back and take the lead with under 30 seconds to go in the game. That’s when Diggs electrified the football watching world with a 61 yard walk off touchdown. The Vikings win in magical fashion 29-24. Help Casey and Dave crack open this super tasty Divisional Playoff Weekend edition of the Sunday 6-Pack. We’re not the suits that talk football, we’re the dudes that know football!
