The Indianapolis Colts knew they had a can’t miss prospect in Andrew Luck, but I don’t think anyone knew he would lead to Colts to an 11-5 record and a trip to the Playoffs in his first NFL season. It seems like all Joe Flacco has done is lead his 10-6 Baltimore Ravens to the playoffs every season in his young NFL career. The Ravens are back to back AFC North Champions but it is Luck and company getting all the headlines. So will Luck’s luck run out when the old Colts go back to Baltimore to take on the old Browns? If you are confused, just relax Dave and Casey have the ultimate set of tools, they can fix it on this episode of The Football Radio Show.

Football Radio Show: Casey’s “Go Back Start of the Week”

I will be the first to admit that I have done it several times. We all like to think that we are better than that, but I would bet it has happened to us all. This week I got sizzled again so here it is, my “Go back Start of the Week”. I’m talking fantasy football people,  and this week I had two of them. My first one is I would have played Jermaine Gresham instead of Jason Witten. My team is super deep at running back, so I traded Michael Bush for Jason Witten after I picked up Gresham as a FA. Being a Cowboys fan I couldn’t resist, so I played Witten only to get a .8 while Gresh got a 12.4 on my bench. Not terribly egregious still could have cost me, but my ‘Go back Start of the Week” if I were to get just one would be starting Torrey Smith instead of Danny Amendola. To my defense, I wasn’t sure that Torrey was going to play, and I couldn’t wait until the late game to decide, so I went with Amendola who was coming off an awesome performance. Torrey went on to torch the Patriots for 127 yards and 2 TDs, good for 24.7 points! I can’t even say lesson learned because something like that will probably happen again. Fortunately, I still got the win and the bench points didn’t end up costing me, but overall that is close to 40 more overall points that I won’t have. Now I will be chasing that huge Torrey Smith performance for the rest of the season while Amendola will be sure to get another one of those huge days from my bench. Oh well, so are the perils of fantasy. If you would like to commiserate feel free to send us your ‘Go back Start of the Week”. You can hit us up on Twitter at footballrs or email us at footballradioshow@gmail.com. Good luck to all this week… (except Peskay)

Mingo Looking to Bring Some Bark Back to the Dog PoundApril 26, 2013 – 9:30 am by Chris Fedor The Cleveland Browns plan this offseason has been very clear: get after the opposing quarterback. That’s what they identified in free agency. They added defensive tackle Desmond Bryant and outside linebacker Paul Kruger. And that’s what they identified with the 6th overall pick in the 2013 NFL Draft. Barkevious Mingo. It loosely translates to quarterback killer. Ok, maybe not. But it would be fitting. Misused at LSU (asked to play a lot of contain against dual threat QB’s) Mingo’s production (just 4.5 sacks) doesn’t look worthy …
