Dalton and Green Football Radio Show: Cincinnati Bengals Season Preview

When the Cincinnati Bengals found out that Carson Palmer would rather retire than come back and play for them, it looked like it was going to be a long season, and it was. It was a long season because the Bengals went to the playoffs riding rookie phenoms Andy Dalton and AJ Green. It is going to take strong sophomore year from those two if the Bengals want to make it back to the postseason. Casey and Dave talk Who Dey on this episode of The Football Radio Show.

It’s a long way top the top if you want to rock n roll, just ask the Cleveland Browns. They were the only team in the AFC North not to make the playoffs last season. So this year they went out and drafted three big playmakers. Running back Trent Richardson, quarterback Brandon Weeden, and receiver Josh Gordon. However this is a very tough division to cut your teeth in. Welcome to the NFL fellas! Dave and Casey talk Cleveland Browns on this episode of The Football Radio Show.

The Baltimore Ravens were one of three teams from the AFC North to make the playoffs and were one Lee Evans catch away from going to the Super Bowl. Now they have an unhappy quarterback in Joe Flacco and a disgruntled running back in Ray Rice. Baltimore needs to make nice with both players but first must address the 2012 NFL Draft. With 8 draft picks to work with Ravens GM Ozzie Newsome looks to keep the Ravens soaring. Dave and Casey get it cracking on this episode of The Football Radio Show.

Big Ben and the Pittsburgh Steelers battled their way through injuries all season long and were swept by the Ravens, but were still one of three teams from the AFC North to make the playoffs in 2011. Unfortunately they were Tebowed by the Denver Broncos in overtime on Wild Card Weekend and that was steel curtains on the Pittsburgh season. With an aging defense and a porous offensive line, the Steelers have choices to make in the 2012 NFL Draft. Dave and Casey name names on this episode of The Football Radio Show.

With better than expected play from rookie quarterback Andy Dalton and dynamic receiver AJ Green, the Bengals were one of three teams from the AFC North to make the playoffs last season. They hope to build on last year’s success and have pocketed a couple of draft picks from the Oakland Raiders in exchange for Carson Palmer. If the 2012 NFL Draft yields the same returns as last year’s draft, the Bengals could find themselves back in the playoffs with a loaded roster. Dave and Casey take a look at ” Who Dey” might target come draft time on this episode of The Football Radio Show.

Holmgren Football Radio Show: Cleveland Browns

The Cleveland Browns finished 4-12 and were the only team from the AFC North not to make the playoffs. They also were unable to work out a trade with the St. Louis Rams to move up in the 2012 NFL Draft to get into the RG III sweepstakes, so it looks like Colt McCoy will get one more season to try and turn it around for the Browns. However, Mike Holmgren and company still have the 4th overall pick. Do they go with the “sure thing” in runningback Trent Richardson, or do they reach for quarterback Ryan Tannehill, or go defense with cornerback Morris Claiborne? Casey and Dave give their opinions on all of these questions and more on this episode of The Football Radio Show.

It looks like Jim Irsay and the Indianapolis Colts are going to officially part ways with Peyton Manning making him the biggest free agent in the history of the NFL. What impact will that move have on the upcoming 2012 NFL draft? The Saints have been anything but Saints as news of “Bounty Ball” makes its way across the NFL. Commissioner Roger Goodell will be the big bad dog as he can be none to pleased with Sean Payton, Gregg Williams and Mickey Loomis (the same can probably said for Drew Brees too). To tag or not to tag? The Steelers and Chargers are going to let some big time players hit the open market. Dave and Casey talk who is it and who is not on The Football Radio Show.

Mingo Looking to Bring Some Bark Back to the Dog PoundApril 26, 2013 – 9:30 am by Chris Fedor The Cleveland Browns plan this offseason has been very clear: get after the opposing quarterback. That’s what they identified in free agency. They added defensive tackle Desmond Bryant and outside linebacker Paul Kruger. Misused at LSU (asked to play a lot of contain against dual threat QB’s) Mingo’s production (just 4.5 sacks) doesn’t look worthy …

Bruce Arians Believes This Year’s Draft Class is “Extremely Solid”April 25, 2013 – 7:20 am by Eric Schmoldt What could be a wild NFL Draft begins with the first round tonight.
